Introduction to Video Art
In this course we will study the processes and applications of video art in the contemporary art landscape. The ongoing evolution of this artistic medium and its numerous avenues for expression—from performance and installation to internet-based art—will be explored through the creation of original work. Student projects will be informed by readings, screenings, and conversations with working professionals. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of HD video camera operation, Photoshop, and Premier Pro. 3 hr. lect./3 hrs. lab
