Students who wish to design and complete individual study projects related to their particular interests and needs may register for this option. Students need to consult a faculty member and write a project, which must be approved by the faculty member who will work with them. The project also needs to be approved by the Director of the Portuguese School. Students must be at the advanced level of proficiency. Projects may be in the area of language, literature, linguistics, or cultural studies of the Portuguese-speaking world. Students may repeat the course under a different topic.

Prerequisite: Permission and project approval of the instructor and director prior to registration.
