La France contemporaine / Contemporary France
(Section A – Methodology ; Section B – Civilization)
The purpose of this course is to understand contemporary France through a pluridisciplinary approach. We will study its geography, demography, its society and economy. We will also focus on its institutions and on its political organisation. We will also study its integration into the European Union. Of course, we will talk about the reforms France had to make to face the economical crisis.
Required Texts: 1) Précis de la géographie de la France, repères pratiques Nathan; 2) Les institutions françaises, repères pratiques Nathan.
N.B Students who choose section A can validate their credits in methodology (equivalent to 6525).
