Social Movements and Human Rights
In this interactive course, you will explore various social movements in France and around the world, both historical and more recent. Topics such as Paris Commune, Arab Spring, ecological activism, or struggle for equal rights will be studied through authentic materials: articles, videos, songs, paintings, photographs, or even comic books as a way to deepen your knowledge and enrich your practice of French.
This course will be conducted entirely in French, and all documents studied will be in French. No textbook is used in this course. Required language proficiency: ACTFL Intermediate Low.
