RULA8231A-S21
Russian from the Source
A Functional-Notional curriculum will be implemented based on a variety of topics that will be introduced to the students in a spiral fashion. In the course of the semester Russian grammar and vocabulary will be introduced and practiced in meaningful contexts. The concept “just in time grammar” will be used. Content Based Instruction and Task Based Instruction will be the core methodological approach. Integration of skills will be used during each hour of instruction.
All topics will revolve around Russia and Russian life and will introduce the students to Russian ways and Russian customs and traditions. The students will find themselves in a variety of linguistic situations that will “place them” in Russia and with Russians.
