Environmental Non-profit Management:
This course is designed to identify and develop student's leadership skills to help environmental non-profit organizations more effectively meet their missions, and gain employment in the non-profit sector The course will highlight the following key skill areas:
• Mission-driven Leadership
• Boards, Teams, and Partnerships
• Strategic Program Development and Evaluation
• Fundraising and Finance
• Communications and Media
• Conflict Management and Negotiation
• Operations and Administration
The course will incorporate the use of social media, technology and guess speakers to illustrate these concepts in action. Students will develop a non-profit personal strategic plan, incorporating the key elements of the class.
