An approach to the expression of feelings and emotions, as a thorough investigation of vocabulary and expressions pertaining to each of the five senses will help master the skills needed in speaking and writing. Delerm's La première gorgée de bière and other literary excerpts will serve as models and provide examples of various stylistic techniques.
Study of other writings and television programs will help define French feelings, tastes and attitudes. In addition, a specific study of French behavior will focus on how the French use space.
