Electronic Music Production

Electronic Music: Digital Audio Synthesis & Production
In this course we will learn how to create music using technology. Through lectures and lab sessions, we will explore fundamental topics in electronic music production such as MIDI, recording, arranging, and sound design within a digital audio workstation (DAW). We will also touch upon advanced topics including mixing and mastering. Each student will learn to apply these tools and techniques in tandem by composing and submitting an original piece of music for a public exhibition at the end of the term. The class will be divided into multiple sections based on skill level, and it is open to all students regardless of prior experience.
