Teaching Language Methodology
In this course students will become familiar with the current trends in foreign-language teaching and connect their own experience as language learners and language teachers with the concepts and ideas encountered in the readings. Through personal and group reflections and discussions, students will develop a vision for improving the teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language. By the end of the course, students will be able to critically evaluate existing teaching practices and materials based on their understanding of theory and research in second language acquisition and develop teaching materials for the classroom. (1 unit)
