Building a Lean Startup
This course is a hands-on exploration of the process of designing a new business, utilizing the methodology of Business Models, Customer Development, and Lean Startups. Students will work in teams to develop a proposal for a new business, utilizing the Business Model Canvas as a design tool and Customer Development methodology and Lean Startup principles to drive the evolution of the design. The objective for the course is to learn how to move a business idea quickly from the idea stage to initial funding. This is a project-based course and grades will be assigned based on the quality of work produced and individual participation.
There will be four meetings of three hours each, plus individual team meetings with the instructor between class meetings.
