Medieval Dante Our Contemporar
Medieval Dante Our Contemporary
Through the reconstruction of Dante's 'Medieval' profile, using sections of significant texts of some of Dante’s works, from Vita Nova to the Commedia, the course will offer a different perspective on Dante “our contemporary”.
Dante thus remains a classic of the past that speaks to our present, to the future as the poet himself asserts when, in the comedy, he addresses "those / whom this time will call ancient" (Paradiso XVII, VV. 119-120)
