Populism in France and in Europe
The course is dedicated to the study of populism in France and in the world. It is concerned with defining the populist phenomenon and understanding its components. We will study its electoral roots in several democracies. Finally, we will identify the economic, social, cultural and political causes of populism, and in conclusion, explore the possible defenses against an inevitable expansion of this phenomenon.
