The Italian Language and Juvenile Slang

Juvenile slang can be considered a variety of the Italian language. Its main characteristics are: informality, elements of dialect, sports jargon, terms of sexual reference and expressions deriving from advertising and Internet. What is the impact of juvenile slang on standard Italian? To what extent is it influenced by computer mediated communication? After an overview of the nature and definition of juvenile slang we will analyze various types of texts such as forums and chat-lines.
