Advanced Analytical Writing
This course/workshop will teach you how to develop and strengthen your interpretive and analytic writing skills. The emphasis will be on clearly communicating your perspective on the complex issues raised in your field of interest and study.
The course/workshop covers key areas of writing with an analytic perspective:
--narrative tools to draw readers into your analyses;
--the architecture of writing, using documentation, interviews, and other sources of evidence to back up your perspective;
--communicating effectively to different publics;
--reading critically to understand what does and does not constitute an effective and persuasive work of analytic writing.
