The Creative Process
A working examination of the process by which ideas are created and given shape. The individual creative experience is explored in terms of working methods and perceptual forms by means of lectures, discussions, presentations, and readings. ARDV 0116 is a hands-on, experiential course suggested for all non-arts majors with an interest in exploring creativity in the arts. Practical work is closely accompanied by readings intended to trigger investigations of the creative process on a personal/individual level. The course culminates with creation and performance of a short project. Required of theatre and dance majors. (First- and second-year students only) 3 hrs. lect.
