Coaching & Issues in Sports
Coaching & Issues in Sports
In this team-taught course we will examine coaching and its impact on students from elementary school to college level. Students will develop a portfolio that will include coaching philosophy, sport psychology, physiology, and sport pedagogy. We will also include a session on sport medicine. Each student will learn teaching techniques for his or her sport or sports of interest. All students will be required to prepare and lead a practice for the group. Outside reading with response papers, in class participation, and a final portfolio will determine the grade. (Open to Seniors only).
