Adv Language Practice
Advanced Language Practice for Academic Work
This course will focus on various forms of German academic writing, with an emphasis on academic conventions and usages as well as on special terms, stylistics and lexicon.
Students will train to summarize, to analyze and to discuss academic topics. Together we will discuss how to develop research questions, how to integrate research positions of others and finally what it means to turn research into a convincing written work or oral presentation.
Required Texts: Texts will be available for purchase at the College Bookstore, and other materials will be made available via the course’s course management website.
