Survey of Accounting
IMGT 8530 is designed for the non-business graduate student who has had little or no exposure to accounting. The purpose of this course is to provide students with a basic understanding of Financial and Managerial Accounting. In the beginning of this course, students will be briefly introduced to the fundamental financial accounting concepts and terminology with regard to financial statement reporting for business enterprises. The latter portion of this course, Management Accounting, focuses on the use of accounting information in managerial decision making and cost management principles.
