For environmental and health professionals, effective risk communication enables them to convey and receive information from different stakeholders (e.g., the public, industry, government leaders, etc.) and facilitates the participation of these stakeholders in risk management decisions. In this course, we will review the theory and practice of effective risk communication and examine the application of these practices to a number of case studies.
