This course is designed to develop graduate students’ skills in the most challenging aspects of Russian syntax through the study of short works of prose (fiction and nonfiction). Focus is placed on the formation of various types of sentences and their use in discourse. Parts of a sentence, conjunctions, word order, punctuation marks are some topics to be explored during the course.
