Literature and Violence in Latin America
*Three week course, second session.*
Violence in Latin America has changed over the centuries, but always has had a central place both in reality and in the cultural proposals. With this idea in mind, we will see some literary works and authors from different eras that make an aesthetic development of such a presence, including Esteban EcheverrÃa, Roberto Arlt, Nestor Pelongher, Evelio Rosero, Faciolince Hector Abad, Cristina Rivera Garza, Julian Herbert, and Javier Sicilia. (.5 unit)
