Advanced Spanish Grammar
This is a mandatory course for first summer graduate students. The class is focused in some of the more important topics on Spanish grammar such as: a) some uses of ser and estar; b) uses of indicative tenses, paying special attention to past forms; c) uses of the subjunctive; d) study of subordinate clauses, focusing on the uses of subordinate conjunctions and values of indicative and subjunctive in these sentences. The course will have not only a theoretical dimension but also a practical orientation, with exercises designed to improve the comprehension of all these subjects. (1 unit)
Required materials: Theory, practical exercises, articles, and other reading materials provided by the professor at Middlebury online in “Canvas”.
