Exposure Assessment Lab
Environmental Exposure Assessment
Environmental exposure assessment is a subdiscipline of public health that is concerned with measuring environmental quality to determine how people’s surrounding can affect their health. In this project-based course, we will explore ways to measure environmental quality (e.g., water, air, soil, food, consumer products, sound) and how this information can be used to inform recommendations about how people can protect their health. We will engage in lecture, discussion, and a semester-long project about an environmental exposure in the Middlebury area. You will have a chance to identify a research question, design and conduct a study to address your question, interpret your data, and present your findings. (ENVS 112 and BIOL 140 or 145 or CHEM 103 or CHEM 0104 or CHEM 107) 3 hrs. lect., 3 hrs. lab
