Spanish Musics
Spanish Music: from Bolero to Rosalia
This course will allow the student to approach the historical-musical panorama in Spain from the mid-19th century up to the present day. We shall analyze the music within its socio-cultural context, and we shall study its historic evolution by examining basic technical and stylistic characteristics. We shall explore the origins, influences, and inspirations that made possible the music that forms part of current Spanish culture, including traditional, classical and popular urban music. (1 unit)
