Applied Stylistics
This course will provide a thorough knowledge of French language structures and of various types of discourse: narrative, descriptive, and dialectical. The objective is to encourage students to write with clarity and subtlety. Designed in co-ordination with course 5611 taught in the Paris graduate program, it will prepare students going to Paris for the required advanced course.
The course focuses on the daily practice of writing exercises. Students must have a unilingual dictionary.
