Beginning French I
Level 1, Beginning French: Level 1 is intended for students with no or minimal previous experience with the French language. The course emphasizes communicative proficiency, with special attention given to the development of speaking and listening skills, self-expression, and cultural knowledge. Course activities will be varied and interactive, and will focus on acquiring all four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), always in a cultural context.
