Introduction to Applied History
In this course we will explore the methods and application of skills to study and interpret history for a public audience. Applied history professionals utilize their skills in a variety of settings including museums, historical institutions, archives, community engagement, historic preservation, and cultural resource management. Students will learn the theories of public history and have an opportunity to learn about current projects and historical engagement methods in heritage fields today.
