Psychotherapy w/Child Adolesc

Psychotherapy with Children Adolescents
How can psychological disorders be treated when the patient is a child? What does psychotherapy with children and adolescents look like? What role do parents play in the process? In this course we will examine how different clinical interventions can be used to address a child or adolescent’s problem behaviors. Students will learn about evidence-based treatments for the most common disorders of childhood (e.g., ADHD, anxiety, PTSD) and will critically examine the central theories and empirical evidence supporting these interventions. Students will also be exposed to clinical materials, such as case conceptualizations, artwork, and video clips.
