Intermediate Russian I

"Russian Language: Grammar in Context, Part 2" is the logical continuation (the second module) of the Russian language course for beginners. The goal of the course is the study of the foundations of Russian grammar and listening, speaking, reading, and writing mastery of covered lexical and grammatical materials.

​The second part of the course is comprised of:

- review and expansion on the prepositional case system of Russian names;

- review and expansion on the aspectual-temporal system of the Russian verb;

- introduction and study of verbs of motion (with and without prefixes);

- introduction and study of transitive verbs of motion (with and without prefixes);

- introduction and study of the comparative degree of adjectives and adverbs.

​Throughout the course, emphasis will be placed on practicing conversation and students' familiarity with Russian culture through academic texts about prominent figures in Russian history and culture as well as discussions about Russian traditions and customs.

The course is conducted remotely and includes practical exercises with usage of interactive forms of learning material mastery, the goal of which is the expansion of obtained theoretical knowledge in situations as close as possible to those in real interaction.
