Intermediate High Hebrew

Students enrolling in this course are usually those who are able to function at the proficiency level of strong Intermediate - Mid according to ACTFL proficiency guideline. Students will gain competence and fluency in four language skills: speaking, reading ,writing and listening comprehension. Students will expand vocabulary relevant to daily life and current events. Students will read selected literary works such as prose and poetry that represent Israeli culture and selected newspapers articles and news. Grammar foundations will be reviewed and usage of all “Binyanim”, tenses, active and passive will be emphasized. Students successfully completing this sequence will emerge with proficiency strong level of “Advanced- Low” depending on motivation, effort and diligence.
