Teaching Subjunctive in Spanish: what to know about and how to teach it
THIS COURSE IS TAUGHT IN BUENOS AIRES

1. Description: Theory and Teaching Strategies for the use and value of the subjunctive in Spanish, with special focus on the interaction between Syntax and Semantics.

2. Goals: This course WILL NOT explain the Subjunctive per se or its uses in a conscious and explicit way. Taking into account the professional context as teachers of SFL of the majority of the students enrolled in this Program, a huge part of the course time will be focused on the common and collaborative construction of knowledge and didactic contents about the Subjunctive with special focus on:

 Indicative vs. Subjunctive in Spanish
 Subjunctive and syntax
 Subjunctive and pragmatics
