Technology and Big data has transformed business in recent years. How does this impact social enterprises? In order to leverage technology and analytics for scaling ventures and also in creation of new ones, this class will expose students to various technologies impacting social enterprises. Students will have to ‘create’ social enterprises leveraging any of the technologies learnt. This will be done via cases and readings. In terms of analytics, students will learn various statistical techniques and software to enable them to apply these to ideas in the social enterprise space. Real Data from World Bank, data.gov and other sources will be used to apply the analytical techniques learnt.
