International Exchanges

International student exchange programs constitute a substantial component of most universities’ education abroad offerings worldwide. This course provides a general overview of the history of exchange programs and current exchange program models including youth, university, and faculty/researcher exchanges. A variety of topics will be covered including: the benefits and challenges of developing sustainable and mutually beneficial exchange partnerships, standards of good practice, evaluating and engaging new partners, agreement development, managing reciprocity, related financial processes, credit transfer and articulation agreements, exchange program advising, and program assessment.
