Oral & Written Skill Thru Film

DEVELOPING (ADVANCED) ORAL AND WRITTEN SKILLS THROUGH FILMS

This course is designed for Intermediate High students of Spanish who have already become quite familiar with the target language and culture and are ready to focus more carefully on their conversational and writing skills to reach advanced levels. By being exposed to a series of films produced in different Spanish-speaking countries, you will learn more about a variety of social, political, economic, and cultural issues that have shaped the present identity of Hispanic societies. The focus of the course is to develop your oral and written proficiency and intercultural skills by using films as a starting point for reflection and thinking critically about social justice topics presented in the films for the class.
