Actuality of Italian Renaissan

The Actuality of the Italian Renaissance
The Renaissance has always had great value for the Italians: not only as an historical period but as a rebirth which established man’s centrality in the world, changing the social, religious and political perspective. In a period characterized by war and precarious balances of power, Italy emerged as a proponent of intellectual freedom, secular culture and political science. From Giordano Bruno, to Niccolò Machiavelli and from Ludovico Ariosto
to Torquato Tasso, the journey into Italian Renaissance literature will show how us the conception of man, developed by these writers, can become a current reflection on the human condition.
