Digital Pedagogies in Lang Edu

Today’s students must be prepared to thrive in a constantly evolving technological landscape. Thus, language educators also must help students become empowered learners. This course will center around the ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) standards for students and educators and seeks to deepen students’ practice, promote collaboration with peers, challenge students to rethink traditional approaches and prepare students to drive their own learning. In addition, students will also become familiar with the ACTFL 21st Century Skill Map focusing primarily on digital literacy. The course has a two-fold goal: on one hand to become firmly rooted in best practices in line with national standards and on the other to garner insights into several digital pedagogy tools. (C.
