Graphic Novel & Latin Amer Lit

The Graphic Novel and Latin American Literature
The rise of the graphic novel has led to a revaluation of the popular art of comics in relation to the most outstanding Latin American literature and authors. After reviewing the theoretical and analytical elements for the study and criticism of illustrated literature and studying some of the most important graphic artists on the continent (Rius, Quino, Oesterheld, Maitena), we will analyze the convergence of literary narrative and art of the comics in literary works and illustrated biographies of authors such as: Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, Gabriel García Márquez, Juan Rulfo, Pablo Neruda, Jorge Luis Borges, Roberto Bolaño and Rafael Bernal among others.
