Energy Finance and IPO

This course will be by taking 1 high level real practice IPO case (a process that takes weeks if not months in real life) and use the steps in this process to touch upon the areas of Carbon markets, Levelized cost, Private equity, Public equity, Renewable energy, Energy efficiency, and Shale gas.

The course will focus a bit more on some elements (ie public equity and work shop) than some others (levelized cost of energy, carbon markets) , however they would be incorporated as an element.

The end result would be for students to have discussed all areas , some in more details than others , and then get the bigger picture of what it takes to prepare and execute on an IPO of a renewable energy company . The workshop them would be to write their own IPO research on a company they can choose from a list , which they can finalize later at home and send to me before a deadline , which would also be the assessment.
