From the Inside Out: Developing Skills for Peacetime
How do the skills of Emotional Intelligence (EI)— self-awareness, self-direction, and self-navigation—affect our potential to become self-actualized, effective citizens of the world? How does EI shape our decision-making and the ability to develop and sustain mutually respectful relationships? Might the development of these skills help us understand and respond to the deeply complex social challenges at the core of global human service organizations? In this interactive course we will examine these questions, deepen our own understanding of EI, and critically examine the research on the integration of EI in schools and organizations.
