Course Catalog

This workshop teaches the role of imagery analysis in nonproliferation applications by reviewing the basic process and techniques of imagery analysis as described in the foundation text, "Commercial Satellite Imagery, Another Tool in the Nonproliferation Verification and Monitoring Toolkit," along with other supplemental readings. Students will learn the signatures of proliferation-relevant infrastructures, including nuclear fuel cycle related facilities, equipment, and process technologies. The workshop will be equally divided between lectures and practical hands-on exercises for beginner-level imagery analysis. The workshop will be more in depth on imagery analysis than NPTG8533A, "Geospatial Tools for Nonproliferation," but the courses are complementary.
