Dictatorship to Democracy thru Spanish Cinema

Spain underwent a fast transition from a dictatorship to a democracy. This course will show how the films reflected those changes and opened the perception of the world by filmmakers and audiences. We will explore the work of filmmakers such as Carlos Saura, Antonio Hernández, Vicente Aranda, Iciair Bollaín, Julio Medem, and others... (.5 unit)
